Vilma Di Nardo
She is a history buff published author devoted daughter.
‘History has always been in my DNA- both my parents lived through the Second World War and I grew up with so many stories that they soon became embedded into my subconscious ‘.
Vilma has always had a love for writing and strived to fulfill her lifelong dream of being an author. But sometimes, life unfortunately gets in the way of your plans!
And then Anna Goldberg, the seventeen-year-old heroine of Lily of the Valley, kept haunting her dreams until she finally wrote this incredible story, inspired by true events.
‘I love to blur the lines between fact and fiction so the story feels more authentic. And the intermittent use of German language makes you feel like you are really are living in Nazi Germany in 1941’.
Vilma has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media Studies and a Minor in Writing.
She currently resides in Perth, Western Australia but she has also lived in England and Japan where she also worked as an English Language teacher.
‘I loved every minute abroad. Travel expands your mind by enriching it with so many new experiences ‘.
When she’s not writing, she loves reading, binge watching TV series and taking long walks near nature.
‘When I first discovered the Convallaria Majalis, I knew that this was the plant I wanted Anna to use to murder Nazis. It’s duality of nature- something so beautiful and yet deadly- fascinated me’.
